Aiirlabs
A series of sensor operated hand sanitiser dispensers catering to high-end public environments where performance, style, and materials are key.
Disruptive Thinking
Navigating a saturated market to create novel value.
We were tasked with delivering a commercially viable hand sanitiser at a time when competition was rife. As such we focused on a key insight from the user to consider the unit as an ‘item of furniture’. Through exploration in form and materials we expanded upon this seed of a brief to generate a wide range of products that were unique in their market and therefore demanded more attention and a higher sales price.
Rapid Concepts
Delivering a large number of unique ideas in a short time.
Responding to the Covid-19 outbreak, this company needed to generate, develop, and market concepts with unprecedented speed to capitalise on a potentially short lived market. We were tasked with conceiving and visualising ideas within weeks which were used to validate market interest, alongside producing a small batch build of functional units only a couple of months after the project initiated.
Prototype Validation
Working with known suppliers to build full working units in-house.
To support both the development of the project and to help promote the product we were asked to build full-scale working units in just a few weeks. We utilised our existing prototyping network to manufacture custom items then assembled everything in our workshop. Doing this made it possible for us to discover and solve issues in real-time while feeding our findings back into the core designs to improve the project.
Marketing Imagery
Supporting investment and marketing requirements.
It is common for clients to require media to communicate ideas to secure seed investment or obtain market feedback. In this case, with the products so large, providing computer generated images and animations proved an effective way of communicating the expected solutions at an early stage in the project without investing in costly prototypes.
